Attention!
Vancouver Island CUPE Members

Island Views doesn't get published without your assistance. This is your newsletter, and publication depends on your willingness to contribute.

Island Views provides a forum through which you can express your perspectives on matters that impact the labour movement today. Your contribuations need not reflect agreement with the official positions of our union, or the labour movement on the whole. However, we do ask that you state your perspectives respectfully and accept our assertion that publication does not necessarily imply agreement with, or endorsement by, the Vancouver Island District Council and/or the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

Our intention is to encourage dialogue and discussion, the sharing of information, and an exchange of ideas that help build solidarity among CUPE members on Vancouver Island. And, there's a financial incentive: the names of all contributors to Island Views will be entered in a draw to be conducted at the next scheduled VIDC meeting following publication. The "winner" of each draw will receive $50.

There's plenty of time to prepare a submission for the next issue of Island Views. Publication is planned for mid-August 1998; submissions should be received by August 1st. We look forward to hearing from you.
